First of every, the prick didn't deserve it. 2nd of every this relatively "nobody" became the president and now he has some of the lowest ratings ever. But back to the question......Supposedly he was suppose to give the 1.4 million dollar prize to a charity. What charity you ask? I have no freaking idea. I was googleing for about 2 hrs trying to find the answer and even though this happened almost 7-8 months ago there is no record of him giving anything to any charity. Open Question: Is running for charity an act of righteousness?

God has blessed me with great health and the ability to run, a wonderful gift from God that I like. I was thinking today that I want to use this gift to glorify God and run for charity and lift money for those in need - not for my possess glory, but to give glory to God and to inspire wish in those in need and show them God's adore through charity. But...there is a Bible verse (Matthew 6:1) that says "Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your dad in heaven." So my question is, if I let people know I am running to lift money for a certain charity and ask them to donate, is this still seen as a righteous act to God? It is not my intention or desire to seek recognition for what I am doing. I don't want any credit, I don't want people to applaud me and give me glory for what I am doing, because I am not doing this for myself at every. Just because I have good intentions does not mean it is good and pleasing to God.

Probably not exactly good of me to arrive on here and talk about something in which i'll only receive critised or misunderstood. What a hatefilled person I am that's not much of a legacy is it? My diary is where ive planned it every and every at the back. I've even ticked some things off my list Some of my books, dvds, cds I already gave to charity the relax I am going to box up I gave my heartshaped mirror to a pal of mine and im quitting my course soon. every I keep thinking is wanting out to go to snooze forever and never wake up so much that about wanting to end it I even printed off 3 pictures about 3 weeks ago of Bridges and I even drew a picture of how I was going to do it on the back. The next thing on my list was to write a suicide note which I have began can't think of anything worth writing, maybe I can go down in history as the girl who wrote the dullest suicide note ever.. When I look at the past every I look is every mistake for every tiny thing I did wrong when I look in the gift I look nothing but the hell I am living in but when I look at the future I just stare at a blank wall.. Last week I bought painkillers and stashed them away a bottle of vodka and I keep ticking off the dates ive already planned how I am going to do it.

Open Question: My mum is an obsessive compulsive hoarder, what can i do to help solve this problem?

I'm 18 and have lived with my mom's obsessive hoarding for my entire life, we have recently moved into another home which we are renting temporarily whilst we move every the boxes of junk into a storage space. Our home is not at every normal, there's boxes and junk of every sorts, just random crap my mum buys from charity shops piled high with pathways through to receive anywhere. She cannot toss things away (and i mean anything, she washes yoghurt pots etc and just stores them) and she gets depressed, she takes medication for her OCD and has had help from psychiatrists but none of this has worked. My relationship with my mom is pretty bad, she's an extremely difficult person to live with and my family are constantly arguing so I just don't really want to live with it any longer. And I'm concerned that moving every the junk into storage is not really much of a step forward and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what could be done to treat her condition? Thanks

Open Question: Where to get rid of unwanted make-up?

I've had a clear out and got various lotions and potions, as well as make-up that I no longer use or need. Most items have just been tried a couple of times, but they're brand names - Benefit, Mac, Clinique etc. Stuff like lipsticks / gIosses, anti-ageing creams, eyeshadows, fake tan. I can't sell them on ebay (can I?!) , the charity store won't take them, so what do I do with it every? Don't want to just chuck it. Any ideas?

Open Question: Do you know of any Gap Year Organizations/Charities?

I want to do a Gap Year as of next September. I'm aiming to become a kids's nurse so something to do with kids/babies/orphans would be fantastic. I'm going to Africa this Summer, so I'm not sure if I'll want to go back or go to a totally different continent. I've checked out Project Trust, Tear Fund and several of the ones that came up first on a google search. Ideally I want to go with a Christian organization, but as long as it's to do charity work it's no biggy. Open Question: Brother 21,has no job,no car please help?

When he used to have a car he did not even bother to look for a J O B they towed his car now his carless and he lives at home w/mom.No one helps them only me.I have a baby due may 7th 2010 and my possess family to support so,Is not like is raining money.My mom told me about the issue but,he has not and I was going to buy him a car but,my other sibling talked me out of my stupid charity act.So,am I doing the right thing and hear to my other sister who is telling me he does not deserve it etc? How should I phrase a charity wedding donation in honor of a person who is still alive? In memory seems like the person is dead. UPDATE: Not having a favor is not an option in my part of the country. Open Question: Is there a charity that sends condoms to Africa?

I am looking to make a donation to a charitable organization, and my opinion is that one of the cheapest and fastest ways to help the most people is to send condoms to Africa, to battle both HIV/AIDS and overpopulation of desert land that cannot adequately support the current number of people. I am an atheist, so I have no crazy theories about condoms, and I am wondering if anybody knows if there is any way that I can donate to the efforts to fix Africa for once and for every.

Open Question: How to stop my dog being racist?

He only barks at black people! He is such a friendly pooch but when he sees black people he goes crazy. White people he likes, asian people (like me!) he likes but black people he goes mental... I got him from a dog charity so maybe a black person hurt him. I know dogs can look shades of black and white very well so.... Well how do i help him be nice?

Open Question: Is it better to donate items or sell them for low prices.?

My wife and I have a combined income of about $75,000. I've been selling personal items like CD's, DVD's & sports cards on Ebay but have only been getting about $1 each CD & DVD and about $1.00 per $15 worth of value on sports cards. Would it be more beneficial to donate these items to a charity and itemize them on my tax return. It just feels like I'm throwing them away at these prices but on the other hand they just sit on a shelf and collect dust. What would be my best option?

Open Question: Why do religion-based charities seem manipulative?

It seems like they help people below the guise of religion to show how nice they are, but their main goal is to increase the numbers of believers. Why not just help people just because you care about them, instead of trying to take advantage of their position to further your religious goals?

im currently running 4 miles in 48 minutes cross country and roads with 7kg bergen and boots is this a semi decent timing or should I stick a rocket up my *&^& any help would be great its not every straight running there is some uber quick walking included especially climbing through the crags

Open Question: Do you think these ideas would generate much interest?

I have two horse-related things I am considering doing once our barn and outdoor arena are built, but I was wondering if you thought they would generate much interest. The first would be half-leasing our sweet old Swedish Warmblood mare. She is 27, about 16hh, sane and sound. She is not lazy, in fact she really enjoys going, but easy to hold back. Completely safe and easy to handle on the ground. She has former dressage training, but it has been many years since she did that. Currently we just do some basic hunter flatwork with her and trail ride. Ideally I wanted to lease her to a little kid who wanted a safe older horse to trail ride or show (hunter below saddle, ground poles/crossrails, showmanship, etc.). The lease would include riding time 4 days a week, plus the option to trailer off-property to trail ride or show her. The facility where she would be kept would have a barn with heated/air conditioned tack room, bathroom, wash rack with hot water and grooming stall with heat lamps. It would also have an outdoor arena with some jumps or pasture to ride in and is about 5mi away from local trails. Do you think kids/parents would be attracted to this sort of lease? What do you feel would be a fair price per month? My second idea is to hold a tiny horse show for charity. If anyone has ever seen the Pony Hunt Teams at Devon, I wanted to do something similar. The show would have classes for hunt pairs or hunt teams (of 3 riders), and divisions based on fence height. For example: 18" Crossrail Hunt Pairs 18" Crossrail Hunt Teams 2' Hunt Pairs 2' Hunt Teams, etc. It would be a charity/fun show for a horse rescue or humane society, hopefully something that could be held annually, but do you think many people would arrive since the classes are a bit limited in variety? I was hoping I could attract some of the more western/HUS/casual trail type riders to give it a try as well by making it very casual, no hunt coats needed, costumes and themes encouraged, etc.

Open Question: what is the best charity to support?

i really want to cease world poverty. i don't just want to give them food and money, i want to help put an end to it - like giving them short term aid like food won't help anything - they will just multiply and need more short term aid. i want to help a charity that helps tutor them how to help themselves, or that really makes a long term difference. I don't have any money right now cuz im really needy myself, but when i do, i want to pick the right charity iv heard not to support charities like oxfam and band aid, as they waste so much money in advertising the charity etc what is the peace corps? i dont want to help people in my possess country (uk). I know the saying 'charity starts at home' but to be honest, to me it just doesn't seem fair spending money on health care, when people are struggling for food itself in other countries. i think everyone should have a decent standard of life, even if it means decreasing our possess a little. however i do know the horrible things that happen in the uk, so please don't think im icy hearted or ignorant. its just i was born in africa and its africa, and other needy thrid world countries i want to help

Legal or Illegal? I say... ILLEGAL! It is completely wrong and against God. If people waited, we wouldn't have every the problems that we do in this world like diseases, bastard kids (ugh those little things are running around everywhere!), etc. This world has no morals or values, they might as well be in jail or pay a fine for every the wrong they've done to this world. We should make a change, give back and cease friends, family, and strangers from doing it, and look if we can make it against the law. Anyone who doesn't help and cease people from doing it, then you're greedy and that's worse than not giving to charity. Hotels shouldn't book people unless they're married, bastard kids should be sent away and their parents put in jail, a couple shouldn't be allowed to buy a home, condoms, birth control (even though those are wrong, sex is strictly for procreating) unless they are married, etc., etc., etc. If these teen "moms" waited, then we wouldn't have this tripe of a show and they wouldn't have those bastards and this board wouldn't exist so I wouldn't be here typing this right now! Those kids would be much more special and much cuter if they were legitimate! I don't know if you are actually legit in real life, but if you aren't, you're just another bastard child.
